Pop-up COVID clinic in Manly

NSW Health is setting up a pop-up COVID-19 testing clinic at Manly town hall.
The clinic will operate daily 9am – 4pm, as the Northern Beaches community continues its fight against the COVID-19 virus.
It is hoped the pop-up clinic will entice more people on the Peninsula to access testing, especially those in high traffic areas.
NSW Health requested assistance from Council in being able to utilise an all-weather venue for purposes of a pop-up testing clinic and Manly town hall - which hosts community events - was settled on.
The decision to set up a pop-up testing centre, follows the government's announcement on Monday that the Northern Beaches was a new hotspot for the virus.
The state’s Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant revealed Lithgow, the Blue Mountains, Hornsby and Lane Cove were added to the hotspot list alongside the Northern Beaches, and urged people living in these regions to get tested if they develop even mild symptoms.
NSW Health confirmed there have been more than 3,000 COVID-19 cases across the state, with the Northern Beaches local government area recording 156 cases - only the City of Sydney and Waverley have tallied more.
